Description: Preparation of a transport master plan for the city of Netanya. As part of the work, planning tools were developed, as well as a model for transportation and QA of traffic forcasts. The plan was prepared in 2006 and updated in 2010, in accordance with planned urban development from approximately 200,000 residents today to 300,000 in 2030. The plan relates to the nationl urban road network, which includes connections to the regional-national network, collector-distributor lanes on Highway 2, and

Amy Metom Role in the Project: Preparation of middle and long term development scenarios, improvements of transportation networks, a tranportation model for the assessing the improvements according to traffic forecasts and public transport ridership forecasts.

Unique Elements of the Project: The plan recommended extensive improvements to mass transit systems in the city of Netanya and its surrounding area, with the city serving as a secondary employment center for the metropolitan area.
